The guides are reporting the whitetail deer are just starting scrapes and rubs in the woods along the treeline. The 120 inch deer are starting to fight a little.

Our food plots and habitat is looking good this year at NCK Outfitters. We had a fairly mild winter here in North Central Kansas, so the bird numbers are looking good from what we have seen and heard driving around during sunset hours.

Thursday September 8th, 2016 - Jeff Prendergast of the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism pheasant biologist discussed his recently completed upland bird forecast for the 2016-17 hunting season. He made the forecast based largely off the department’s annual summer brood surveys.
